Slime (where to find specific ones)

Are they totally random in term of which slime shows up? Or do certain type of slime shows up more often in certain area?

I am actually looking for fire slime (Snappey). Is there any area where Snappey shows up more often? Thanks

Totally random, I find my slimes in cs-7 or HR-15. I usually get fire, ice, electric and water slimes all the time. The plant ones are rarer for me, and the earth ones I find but not a lot of. I got 2 fire and 1 water in CS-7 earlier today in about an hour or so of farming.

What he said^^^ I prefer HR 15, guaranteed at least one land on a battle spot and then you can hit chests as well. Great farming spot

The first 6 Slimes appear on their corresponding elemented maps. Once you get past there it becomes random. Works pretty much the same way as book chests. You go from specific elemented book chest matching the zone you are in until the higher end zones when it becomes generic book chests with any element inside.

Not true ryeballs, you can find any slime anywhere.
