Haypi Prologue Entry - dragind

Sorry for the long (essay) >.<

You have always been one with the sea. Ever since you were young, mother had died of tuberculosis. Father was the head of a small, shanty fishing village. Often, he took you out on exhilarating journeys, some of which are lengthy and perilous. In the middle of a particular outing, the weather suddenly turned for the worse. Wave after waves come crashing down, tearing apart the small boat. Managing to cling on to the broken mast, your eyes stung be the salt, you see father- all that you have got left of your family, get engulfed by the waves. You tried to scream, but salty water simply poured into your mouth, and slowly, your vision blurred, and the whole world blackened out...

"Son...hey son", a voice rang past your ear.

"I think he is alive", another voice broke the silence.

With your left foot throbbing, you sat up, sand falling off your hair. Rubbing the dirt off your eyes, the blurry world cleared to form a beach. You feel the warm sand through the gaps between your fingers. Looking around, two hairy chested men were crouching next to you.

"Yeh, he's good", said the one with the bandana wrapped around his head.

Recovering from the shock, you familiarise with the environment, while the two men introduced themselves. Jacob, the one with the bandana, and Mark, they call themselves.

It turns out that you have been washed here several days ago, but was in a coma. This island only has a few dozen villagers, all coming from different places, but with a sole intention- to find the eight mysterious relics hidden under various location under the seabed. For years and years they have tried, and none has succeeded. A small port has been established to allow the villagers to trade small treasures for food. Many archaeologists visit this island too, to receive a first hand experience at treasure hunting. Rumours said that if all eight relics were discovered successfully, a key that unlocks the door to the future will appear before your very eyes. Hinting a sense of interest in this activity, you decide to take part in this activity.

A small submarine was built by using scraps of metal and a circular piece of glass. As time passed and gone, so have your bitter memories of the past. Although the relics are yet to be discovered, you gather more precious minerals and treasures. Using it to improve your submarine, you were able to explore greater depths. With the relics closer to your grasp, you were not to give up hope. So, you continue forward, hopeful.
