Look at you. I haven't seen you in so long. Looking sharp these days. Got your own company. True, it's one boat, but I suppose that could count as a company. But don't worry, there's so much trading going on these days, it won't be long until you own ten ports. The trade routes are tricky, but I suppose that's why you wanted to meet up with me.
What old stories? What, the ones I told you when you a child? No, I haven't thought of those for years. I gleaned them from old legends I heard when I was a shellback. What about them?
Oh... no, no. I don't remember that one. The eight sets of relics. No, no. It was a myth. Just a myth. I mean, a 'doorway to the future'? What else could such a thing be but a myth? Even if it was real, they're at the bottom of the ocean. You'd never be able to find them. No one can dive that deep.
A submarine? Well, look at that. I didn't know they could actually make one. Still, you'll need better equipment than that. I don't know of any way to get the money for it. But you do have your company. Yes... maybe, with enough perseverance and a little wit, just maybe you could find... something. But even if you do find a way to the future, what would you do with it?
