Hunt unsuccessful?

I would sometimes get three or four "hunt unsuccessful" results per day. Is there anything more infuriating than a main armys wasted hunt?! I've tried remember if I'd used that node before, but I'm thick as two short planks in the memory area. What I do now is play rock, paper, sizzors with myself. On my first hunt of the week I set all my army's to hunt on a stone node. Then I send a message to myself saying; rock. The next day when I log in I open my mail and when I see the rock mail I set all my army's to hunt a forst node (paper) the I'll send another mail saying paper. Next day I'll do sizzors on the ore node. Then I'll start rock, paper, sizzors all over again. If I forget to send the mail, I'll hunt on a low level food node.

Sounds stupid but it works like a charm; I've only had a few unsuccessful hunts with this system. If someone has a better way please post it here?!

Re: Hunt unsuccessful?

If you take the oasis and abandon it, I believe it resets the oasis so that your next hunt will most likely be successful.
That method you have works quite well though :)

incorrect.

the higher the oasis the more chance of sucess
the longer since you last hunted there the more chance of sucess

- what I do is send my hunts to the right of my city, then next time to the left, then north etc to mix it up

I'm not sure if this is quite right, Now I tend to hunt in lvls 1,2 and 3 and get about the same number of unsuccessful hunts as when I hunt in a lvl 8 or 9 but arguably better treasure.
Also many players with this idea hunt in high level oasis and get an unsuccessful because someone has just hunted there. Lower lvl oasises are less likely to have this problem.
lvl 9s are also likely to be taken if there are other players near you which will result in your troops being sent back and likely kiled soon after.
Just my 2 cents.

Would you mind sharing proof ? As I personally havnt seen anything to affect hunts todo eith oasi level

I recorded hundreds of hunts in a spreadsheet, my results proved this to me, all I can do is offer it as advice as others, but your own conclusions are what you must draw.
