Cat army tactics vs. Cav

Around the forums I've seen people explaining the benefit of cav armies over cats and how they can defeat them relativeley easily, but what tactics can cat armies employ to help counter the cav threat?
I would have thought using cav to meatshield instead of inf would give you more turns to pick off their cav, as the mediocre attack of cavalry (compared to cats) combined with very high life and defence would keep the horses locked in combat for some time, doing little damage to each other each round?

i guess the main way id meatshielding but however using 1 inf, 1 arch and cav to meatshield. with this tactic you can slow cavs dowwn an additional 3 rounds. which means that you can kill twice as many cavs as you have cats. if you are defending and defences you can extend the battle further by meatshielding in front of your defences.

another fact is that cavs cannot hit cats going backwards as the movement of cats backwards is greater than the range of cavs. this means that if you can get your cats forward while meatshielding you can stop your cavs hitting additional rounds meaning you can probably wipe them out

I agree that the best way to meatshield is using one of everything with just pure cav armies, and those extra troops are really annoying if you have vavs, but most ppl also have archers to take out the shield so i suggest you deploy a large amount of meatshield or keep them out of archer range

theres too many factors such as attack defending, your speed, his speed to determine a true accurate list of tips this cann onyl be a rough guide

id also take 10/0/10/10 with me to kill the meat shields

its a good idea to have a row of traps, seeing as someone with the right stats can take your turrets out without losing a unit.

People without access to lvl 10 turrets?
Most people I attack tend to have atleast some traps, and with the level of turrets they're likely to have, It'd be easier than traps to take out.
