You should be able to have like a mock battle. Example: choose your own troop amount then choose the enemy's. You get to command both sides OR let it auto command either side but the auto command is the most reliable because its supposed to get you the least amount of losses.
Re: Mock battles
I kinda like it and kinda not. It would definitely be useful as a way to find out what it takes to win certain battles. On the other hand, I kinda liked the suspense of not being sure if I shoulda brought a few more cats.
Commanding both sides might be difficult to implement. Just not sure it would be worth it in game.
Now an off line battle simulator...hmmm...

Attack oasis for autocommand (I think that's what you mean)
Spar with alliance members - drop out of alliance and send an attack of X/X/X/X troops at oasis and fight, that's good practice
Download an app called "Haypi Calc", search Haypi in the app store, it's a light brown app, for $10 you can purchase a battle simulator, and then you can command battles and it shows range of units and gives detailed info and stuff

Re: Mock battles
Y do u need it, it is a waste of the game designers time
Re: Mock battles
There is a haypi calculator that doesn't let you command, but does let you see the outcome of battles, and it lets you set your variables such as technologies and troop numbers etc.

^ that
But that kind of takes the strategy out of it - in a surprise sense - learn as you play what to do and howto command.
Re: Mock battles
Ya, i agree, a friend showed it to me, i dont have it though, i also prefer my own calculations, and if u lose, o well, you lost
Re: Mock battles
tbh mock battles are no use cos no two battles are exactly the same so id just wait till your in the battle and then work from that
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Mock battles
Haha i would personally use it to kill my boredness. Scouting gets boring after a while xD
Re: Mock battles
Mock battles would be hard to set up, with stats very accoudinf to point placement, tech, and equpment. Also I think it would take away from the game, this is a stratigy game and you have to be able to come up with the attack and defence stratigy on your own, this is one of the benifits of being an experienced player you have field tested your battle tacktics
