It would seem that this is mostly split with people over 18 agreeing, people under 18 disagreeing. Except for Nathan. I just think if someone is deemed responsible enough to hold the position, then they should be granted it.

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

Realize that I know of moderators that are under 18 that act very mature but..... and tis a big but. We have found to have more problems come from picking players that are under 18. Unfortunately a lot of bad seeds ruined it for the rare few that are under 18 and very mature for their age.

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

Well some experts/mods over the age of 18 have done worse then those that were under, that point can be argued either way and if you were in s44 you can see the exact opposite of your points being true where it was mainly the older experts that abused and the younger expert that wasn't that bad. I think that everybody is accountable for their actions and emphases is probably just focused more on the younger people... at least that is my view which I choose to defend and others have their own views that they believe in, this is just one of those arguments that can go either way because both sides have proof/points/examples that they can provide to backup their views, and in all honesty if a persons maturity lvl require them to be removed as expert then add that to the list of reasons why an expert may lose their title, along with the other reasons because if an expert is acting out of line no matter what age they know that they have consequences, instead of removing all from this age group from contention for a spot they may very well deserve

Age shouldn't be an issue. It's purely maturation level.

You could have some 40 yr old act like a lil kid and have a 12 yr old be more mature than the 40 yr old. (just an example, I don't actually know ages of experts)

So this age thing is rather hypocritical. >.>

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

I don't find age as an issue for experts. Then again, I am under 18 which could clearly alter my true opinion. The fact is, people over 18 are going to agree with this rule while those under 18 will not. I can see why this rule was created, however it is true that some of the best experts I know are infact under 18.

Exactly age should be no factor I believe its ageism... Wasn't there some law that you can't discriminate about age of a worker. Ao I'm guessing age should have no influence merely the ability for a person to complete a role or job

The US Government wrote:The law forbids discrimination when it comes to any aspect of employment, including hiring, firing, pay, job assignments, promotions, layoff, training, fringe benefits, and any other term or condition of employment.

This is a law in the US that I found with just a quick search. I don't believe Haypi is in the United States, but I'm sure there are similar laws in many countries...

Also, I don't know if this would apply to the "jobs" which this thread discusses.

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

Still the point is if by law you can't discriminate a person based on age for a real life job then why do it in an online game that doesn't have an 18+ rating?

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

heres the thing arythy haypi is operating in the united states. experts are technically working for haypi meaning that they must comply with employment law of the country they are operating meaning they cannot discriminat. havent researched it much but might ask my cousin (employment lawyer or summit) about it

Re: Is there a age limit For adminstrator?

If they have to follow such laws, why aren't they forced to pay us at least minimum wage?

Oh right, I know why:

Because this doesn't fall under such regulations. They can do whatever they want and we just have to accept that.
