Re: Bounty

If you went into more detail backwoodz, this could be a good idea. Let's say you place a bounty of one scepter if someone wipe's 30k prestige away from whoever the person is you want attacked. Whoever wipes the 30k prestige away will get in specter and a mail letter saying he has done the bounty.

Re: Bounty

Yeah, I like that idea. Maybe keep the tab in your Tasks icon under it's own button labeled "bounty heads". A list of names, a short description of what needs to be done, and the posting of the reward you'll recieve when this bounty is completed.

To add security, I'd say a list of generic options should be added to said function. Choices of overal Task such as, "prestige hit", "Oasis Attack", "Steak Fort", "Steal City" ect. When Posting your bounty head, you'd choose an option,

Ex: type the name of the player (player name here) > select action (prestige hit) > select prestige goal ( 50,000 ) > select reward ( scepter x2)

So when you visited this, bounty head tab. You'd see a post with that information, click accept, and set off to wreak havoc upon your new enemy keeping your eye on the prize.

Similar posts, like choosing the city stealing option, would be completed upon the capture of the city set to a specific coordinate, or any city will do. Same for forts and oasis.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to make a targets day turn bad. These methods could become the actions of the Bountyhunters. Though I'm drawing a blank as to what they could be. Anyone care to comment in that regard?

Re: Bounty

This is a pretty good idea. It could be abused though as players with alts would place bounties on themselves in order to transfer items. If Haypi could think of a good way to implement this, I think it would be a lot of fun.

Re: Bounty

Good point. However Alt owners will always find ways to abuse, no point in withholding good ideas if they're gonna continue abusing anyway. Not saying all alt owners are dirty, just the ones who abuse... Yeah I'm talking about you feeders!

I would like to agree with you, however there could potentially be a massive imbalance by the cheaters. It does seem that many great ideas are shot down simply because of cheaters though.

Re: Bounty

Cheaters have been around for as long as there has been an event or game to cheat at. Wether it be cheating on a spouse, cheating your taxes, or cheating at Monopoly. They aren't going anywhere, so why should good ideas?

(as long as woodzy stays in my alliance and doesn't decide to put a bounty on my head that is >.>)
if only there was a way to make sure it wouldn't ruined by the cheaters :/

Re: Bounty

I think if it's that big a concern you could report it. Just like many do for feeding.

The comment about moving treasure; you wouldn't need this, people already do that on a daily basis. A friend you trust or a second device works best. Or simply a Mundane treasure such as a Level 9 Key.

As for brainstorming for a security measure.. Maybe in addition to the basic information, you'd also be able to see who posted the bounty, and when it's completed who performed the bounty in a temporary history Tab. Maybe, the last 200 completed bounties are shown. This would limit a spam factor for Alt vs Alt mundane bounties, and any suspicious bounty heads could be ss'd and reported. From there Support could step in
