What does honor do?

I've been asking myself this question for a while and a lot of the people in my alliance have been asking it aswell. I have google searched for why exactly we should care about Honor points but I can't find anything. So could someone explain to me exactly what honor points do for an alliance/individual player?

Honour points allow you to collect medals which appear next to your name in chat...thrilling!

honor is indicative of your character and willingness to die for your lord. the most honorable achievement you can hope for is to slay your enemies and to be prepared to commit seppuku should you fail.

Yes medal does seem trivial,they could of done something cool like extending it so as hw much honor u have u get a military rank next to yoir name and different colors add on ie...

Lmao!!!! That's Bernard Sumner, guitarist for Joy Division (greatest band ever) and later guitarist/vocalist for New Order. He is awesome!!!!!! If you have lived on Earth at some point over the past 30 years then you have certainly heard him singing the song "Blue Monday" by New Order, and if not then you are most likely deaf or living in some remote 3rd world village.
