Re: The amazing Calvary army

I am running cav/arch and that has really cut down on the losses i take fort farming as compared to a mono cav army. In lvl 5 or above forts Just as long as i target cats first with my archers i only have to worry about the archers hitting my cav. It also helps eliminate meatshields and pesky turrets.

Re: The amazing Calvary army

I currently have maxed speed and I split the rest of state points between attack and defense is this OK for a pure cavalry army?

Re: The amazing Calvary army

it is recommended to run high defense with cav armies in order to reduce the number of losses and therefore maximise prestige gain in battles

Re: The amazing Calvary army

wave the good commander will use tactics to destroy a mono cav army with ease. that is why it is recommended to use cavs along with either archers or cats.

with cavs you can wait for the cats to come in range before you move forward but it is unlikely that any commander would be stupid enough to do that

Well if the other person is inf blockers then you must just charge forward or withdraw. If you are fighting cats then move forward on the round which there cats move forward 300 from the back line. For inf and arch move forward the second round of a battle. Stats should be in speed and defence and skill points on heal

Re: The amazing Calvary army

Well here's the thing.....if you are expecting the enemy to send a meatshield/s then you are completely resigned to taking losses.
Therefore, youre not concerned about speed or secrecy of attack, so it's easy enough to build a couple cats and archers to accompany the monocav SPECIFICALLY to destroy meatshields.

It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of generals who neglect to consider options to deter the meatshield, which in actuality is not very difficult.

Additionally, no matter what, I have always found it extremely beneficial to maintain at least 12k cats. No mattEr what (short of being COMPLETELY wiped), you will always have at least as many cats as you need to hit a 20k hit, or a mid level fort....(which is all the more important after being hit...)

MEATSHIELDS ARE FOR THE BIRDS

you better bring your A-game when you face a competent general.

Re: The amazing Calvary army

Also.....
Mono armies are a novelty and obviously are not either balanced or efficient, therefore it would be a folly to rely on them, except in very specific situations.

And I'd just lik to add, That I don't believe in the edit button (only generals with monoarmies use it lol) so save the advice on how to use it.
