peeps who speek liek dis

I'm tired of the people on the internet who cannot type a legitimate sentence. They use acronyms to describe phrases such as "Laugh out loud." What's worse is instead of taking that extra second to write "you" they will just insert the letter U.

Normally, I don't have a problem with it, but it's such a huge problem now and I can't understand some of the outrageous phrases and netspeak. I mean, heck, some people still think lol means Lots of Love, and WTF means Welcome to Facebook.

Lol is more of a "that's kinda funny, but I didn't really laugh out loud"

Laughing out loud when reading something rarely happens, which kindave make lol a sort of thing saying it's funny, but not lol funny. Get it?

Lol has become a word in itself, not necessarily meaning what it stands for

It doesn't bother me when people type like that, I just prefer not to, kinda cuz spellcheck would be freaking out the whole time if I typed that bad xD

Anyway, it is annoying. Especially when your trying to have a conversation with someone and you have no idea what they mean/said

I dont mind "lol" but when people shorten words like "dis" and such. Oh well, can't do anything about it :/

Don't ask me how long it took to find out what HMU meant.

That's why I use close to normal grammar whenever I type
I remember my Parliament member in my area of Canada mentioning "In 10 years kids won't know how to spell you" once when I had a meeting with her..
Hopefully it won't come to that.
I especially hate it when people say "dis" "r" "u" instead of the common words but I rarely come across it

also I just look up on the internet when I don't know what some text means (Once looked up gth, thought it was glad to help but apparently not... was about to tell someone it too after I helped them with a question )

Me and my friend made a list of that stuff... In the wrong ways.

Yeah I get what you're saying, at least majority of the people who I know dat speak liek dis online are actually quite smart people. Something that bugs me much more than that, is when people don't know the different between your/you're there/their/they're are/our etc, and use them in the completely wrong places - you'd think that it'd be quite obvious..
