Expert Warnings

This is what makes me so angry.

So you have an expert on the chat. All of the sudden, chat erupts, and an individual is repeatedly spewing profanity and vulgar words all over the chat. You think that would warrant a mute until you see the expert post "[Name] language."
I guess that's a warning, but that doesn't stop good old individual from adding bashing and more profanity to his posts. Expert persists with warnings.

I was on last night, and an unnamed expert who has been reported gave out 6 warnings, and didn't mute the guy in the end.

Seriously, warnings don't do anything at all. Mutes are given to experts for a reason. USE THEM.

Re: Expert Warnings

everyone deserves a chance to change there ways. it is recommended that 3-5 warnings are given for a first mute then 1-3 warnings for the more serious offenders. he should have been muted though from the sound of it :)
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Expert Warnings

Some Experts can be more conservative, and mute rarely; others can be more aggressive and mute willy-nilly, often without any warnings. Not all Experts have that perfect balance in between, and a conservative Expert is preferable to an aggressive one, as that Expert truly does give people many chances to show they've stopped causing trouble, while the opposite simply makes his or her entire server angry at the "injustice" of his or her judgement.

3-5 Warnings? Really? So I could walk into chat and start blasting blasphemy and do so about 12 times before my mute?

I think honestly, 2 for new offenders, 1 for regular offenders.
And change their ways? It's a second chance. Nobody needs a sixth chance.

Re: Expert Warnings

Well that's what makes me angry. My friend was removed from expert because he gave out one or two warnings usually before he muted and people didn't like not being able to bash, swear etc. But the conservative idea isn't always true. The expert in question not giving a mute was being yelled at my at least 5 people at the same time for not muting the individual spouting profane words.

In which case you were correct to send your concerns to Support, and appropriate action will be taken if they deem it necessary and/or desirable for the good of the server. :)

Apparently, to server 102's support/Jerry it wasn't important. Replied with a simple generic phrase.

But this is off topic.

Re: Expert Warnings

Send it to the Support email (in my signature) with screenshots of the incident if you have any, and if nothing happens, that means they've decided for nothing to happen; Support takes all reports seriously, whether or not they respond.

Why are you stating the obvious? I already did. Doesn't everybody read the rules?
