Hate to dampen the spirit here...
But this would make it all the more easy for the alliances who hold mines in unfair ways with various usages of branches and subs to become the dominant powers of the server not only as an alliance but also on an individual level.
Instead, I would propose members can gain prestige from battles, but in a special way:
based on contribution rank, the prestige gained from a victory in battle would be divided up among the members (the total already given for alliance prestige would remain); however the formulas for individual battles would come in for the prestige to split up.
For example, if my alliance killed 1000 cats and 1000 inf and lost 0 soldiers, the alliance prestige gain would be 110 (I believe); but 11000 prestige would be gained to be split up among the alliance members for individual prestige.
If you take this chart:
Rank Portion
1 -----50 parts
2 -----49 parts
3 -----48
4 -----47
5 -----46
6 -----45
7 -----44
8 -----43
9 -----42
10 ----41
11 ----39
12 ----38
13 ----37
14 ----36
15 ----35
etc.,
the total number of parts based on alliance members would be tallied up; eg. if there were 5 members, there would be 50 + 49 + 48 + 47 + 46 parts (240), and there would be 11000 prestige to be divided into that many parts (46 prestige per part), and each member would get that value times how many parts they have. In this case, the prestige gain would be as below:
Rank Prestige
1 -----2292
2 -----2246
3 -----2200
4 -----2154
5 -----2108
Obviously, the more alliance members there are the less prestige any given individual gains.
This would prevent cheating with branch alliances, and still represents well the resources and materials spent for the good of the alliance.
Any thoughts?
