My thoughts are in general Obama had a far better speech writer. The points in Boehner's were poorly backed up and not even good evidence for what he was trying to prove. The fact that Boehner is unwilling to cut spending as well as raise taxes for the wealthy because of the example he gave of "small businesses going at of business because of the tax increase" is a moot point, as "owners of small businesses," by Obama's plan, would ultimately get a tax break whereas those who can easily afford it, say those who own chain stores and pull in a large sum of money a year, would be the ones whose taxes would be raised to the percentage a regular American pays.
