Firstly, let me just say it isn't easy, nor can I take the credit as I am no longer very active anymore. However, you are missing the idea here....to make a successful alliance, it requires the dedication of ALL members. Imagine that concept, an alliance being successful due to te dedication of the allies making up the alliance....unheard of I know!
Here is an ss of my alliance on s103 from a few weeks back:
As you can clearly see, our warehouse uses up it's entire store of crop in under an hour. And yet, our leadership does an excellent job of making sure we don't starve. Will I tell my secrets? Not all of them, but suffice it to say, amidar is one heckuva leader, fer sure!
And that's the main thing....without good leadership, mines or no mines, your alliance will fail. As far as how to feed monstrous armies, I suggest you think outside the box....there are ways I am sure you haven't yet explored.
Edit: as some of you surely have seen a recent post of mine entitled "the secret of alliance wars" you know I am currently writing an extensive strategy guide for alliance wars, which I have discovered separates good alliances from poor ones. I won't get into it here, you're just gonna have to wait, but I promise it will be very enlightening and half of the silly posters on this thread will feel quite ashamed for being so impetuous in their criticisms of the update.

Hahaha trade secrets huh. I could live with that and yes, your alliance seems to be doing a great job with mine. I suppose we need to get used it more.

Wow. Ur alliance must be really devoted. I think my alliance on s72 has a pretty good strategy too. but I'm nit gonna share it. Sorry.
