Arch army?

Me and my alliance have been debating the usfullness of an all arch army. Will it take lvl 10 turrets cleanly? R they effective for cats? Do they need to be in lage amounts ect. Do u have any info on this and other situations with only arch?

With arch and cav Im able to take out a full lvl 10 turret wall with a little over 1k cavs lost, pretty small considering I only have lvl 5 heal and 100 total def pts.
Arch are nice cuz you can kill someone elses cats even if they have higher enhancements than you. So you don't need lvl 20 man and horse to take no losses.
A con of arch is how many you need, typically you need a 8-12:1 ratio of arch to cat to kill without losses, all depending on your attack and their defense stats.
Another con is if the cats DO get your arch, you will take heavy losses cuz of how low arch have for defense.
Arch are also nice cuz they can travel distances almost 3x as quickly as cats.
You said an "outlet" arch army, so I wasn't sure what that meant, if you meant to say only or if you really meant to say outlet. If you did mean only, I wouldn't recomend it. Generally speaking, mono armies don't work out unless it's a certain situation, I would suggest using arch/cav, simply because they contrast and can pack a punch. However, I have heard of arch/cat armies (with a couple thousand inf for traps) succeed greatly, because 2 range units are hard to defend against.
It all depends on your style, and somewhat how old your server is (more people play cat armies on new servers, more arch on older)

Well, you typically have enough units of arch/cat combined to carry 400k of each resource, but if you don't you could bring along 10k inf or so

I am actually glad someone knows what they are talking about when it comes to an archer army, well done will give little more info if i can i use cav and archer army

Consider the following:
- Archer base speed = 125
- Archer range (with max shooting tech) = 600*(1+0.2) = 720
- Closest row of turrets is 1050 away from your baseline
So even if you have 0 points in speed and never researched your marching tech, as soon as your archers move forward, the first row of turrets will hit them. You can't hit the turrets because your archers' effective threat range is only speed+range = 125+720 = 845 and the turrets are 1050 away from you.
With max speed, your archers' effective threat range is speed+range = 173.4+720 = 893.4, which is still not enough to reach that front row of turrets.
In summary, any movement forward puts your archers in range of being hit by that first row of level 10 turrets and there is no way for you to move far enough to hit them with your archers in just one turn. So there is no way to use JUST archers and take no losses.
Now, I realize you didn't claim to have NO losses. So what exactly did you mean by "minimum" losses? Getting hit only once by each row of turrets? I don't see any way to attack with JUST archers and get hit less often than that. This would result in a loss of about 4500 archers, which is about twice as bad as using cavs with archers. So choosing to reset your stats instead of sending along a few thousand cavs doesn't seem like a good choice to me.

An arch army? It's very good for pp, cuz you can have a lot of attacks going from your main 10 minutes out hitting starved or left out troops that would take 30 min to get to by cats
