Re: Farming...:(

Heres my unfair farming guide (if ppl are out numbering u)

Guide
Step1: send Ur troops out to hunt while following these steps, this makes it so that whoever is attacking u gets 0 prestige:)
Step2: try to resolve it peacefully, u might even make a friend:)
Step3: if step 2 doesn't work than first set traps
Step4: upgrade defensive tech
Step5: train lotso troops:)
Step6: return Ur troops from hunting

If step 6 doesn't work ask Ur alliance for help, I'm sure that they would be glad to help:)

Re: Farming...:(

K, always leave troops hunting, so dont follow step 6

Its better to have shooting or another type of tech than defensive tech

If you train lots of troops chances are you are just gunna attract more attention and someone will wipe you, but thats part of the game. Just keep em hunting and farm others so they dont farm you lol

Re: Farming...:(

For farming protection:

1: Always have your troops out hunting.
2a: Always spend your resources on upgrades. If you can't afford the next one yet then throw extra needed resources into the market at a very high price, and cancel the market when you're ready to build.
2b: If you have nothing left to upgrade then always keep extra resources posted in the market at competitive levels to make moneys.
3: If you're new, while it might seem attractive to level up as quickly as possible consider holding off leveling up your Rank (via the Task list). Lower level generals provide less Prestige when attacked by higher level generals, so you become an unattractive target for Prestige, and if they aren't getting any resources they'll eventually give up instead of wasting time sending armies to a dead zone. 8-)

I've still only been playing a little over a month now and have a few other tricks I'm trying, but, as I've learned from a game of Clue once, I'm not going to reveal my strategy lest it be used against me. :D

Re: Farming...:(

If being farmed by another player, the most IMPORTANT strategy to do is HUNT YOUR TROOPS. Make sure that the attacker will NEVER be able to kill your troops for prestige, EVER.

The second step to avoiding farming is upgrading your cranny. Once your cranny is maxed it protects 100,000 of each resource from being taken by your attacker.

After this, if your attacker attacks you again, he will not kill any troops for prestige and (hopefully) gain minimal or no resources from the attack, he'll stop bothering you (usually). Even if he doesn't, he doesn't gain any resources (or minimal) from the attack and doesn't gain any prestige so it shouldn't be too much of a bother.

The third step (this is not required and can be left alone if the first 2 steps are complete) is building an optional row of level 1-2 traps in every wall space. Usually an attacker will not be able to find out the level of the traps and especially if you have no troops out, will pause all his troops to run the battle timer out so that he doesn't lose any troops.
This third step can also backfire because once your opponent attacks he could just run through the traps (that cost you valuable resources) and attack you again because he was fooled by the mini row of level 1 traps that caused him to wait an entire battle unhappily.

I'd suggest mailing him and asking him to stop (remember: diplomacy is a MUST. He is much more likely to listen to a polite player than a player that's yelling and cussing the place out)

Finally, if none of those options work, only do the first two and join an alliance. Ask some of the higher-ups in your alliance to help. Most of the time they'll be willing to attack him, especially if he's a lower level than them.

Re: Farming...:(

Counterattacking the farmer usually is hard to set up because:
1) You have to train troops
2) If you counterattack they may get more angry

And weren't you the one who asked this?

Re: Farming...:(

When being farmed, it's best to letter and notify that you are active first. Many top players will stop farming if lettered. If this does not stop, letter their alliance leader. If it still doesn't stop, letter yours to communicate with the said player and/or leader. If all fails, your leader will direct you.

Re: Farming...:(

Alot of times at the beginning of a server its more worth it farming your neighbors instead of paying for res for 1.0 or more.

I think its been said before, but upgrade your cranny, hunt, and when you get to bed (if you can spare the people) post any excess res your cranny wont protect in the market place for a very high price.

If you cant spare the people... just donate it to your alliance. They will greatly appreciate it im sure.
