PVP opponent disconnecting

If an opponent is ranked higher than you in PVP and you beat them, if they can disconnect before the "you lose" screen disappears, they don't lose any PVP points and you do not get full credit. You can do the same if a lower ranked player beats you. It makes PVP stats useless.... You can tell if this been done. Your opponent will have a -1 as their damage in the stats screen...
