Here's a few
Suggestion 1: Trading and the Removal of the Collection Rankings
Don’t shoot me! Yes, I know others have suggested this before and it has been responded to a generally negative sense. I’m not sure if someone has suggested what I have thought, but here it goes. Trading should be implemented into this game to make it easier to complete levels/ for fun and collecting monsters for your own self/ for breeding purposes. Now before you b-tch at me for being lazy and scht00f I HAVE 55 Monsters and VIP 2, I’m not lazy to go around in the game and grind for new Monsters! I want trading because I found some levels really hard (i.e. the beginning of Canyon when I only had a Minerou at around level 20), but I also understand that having trading would need to be restricted, not in time, but in levels (Bad wording :/). My thought is that trading of Monsters should be kept in “Leagues” where only trainers at a certain level could trade with other trainers of that level (Little League would be trainers at levels 1-3, Master League would be trainers at level 18-20, etc.). Using this system, it would make it possible for people who have beaten Sealed Space or are on that scene to trade only with those around with that level of completion in game. Meaning a trainer at level 2 won’t have an S Rank Lupa at the level Cap.
Now with the introduction of trading, three things – other than actual trading ownership of Monsters - would happen. One – People would try and establish a value system for Monsters. Two – People would trade Monsters only temporarily. And three – Peoples encyclopedias would fill up much quicker, ergo making challenges for completion of the ‘pedia and the leader boards for it redundant.
With the first action, a whole new section in the forum would need to be created to meet the huge amount of threads that would be posted for trading. And the second, my main concern would be greifers. If you lend someone a level 15+ Monster there is a chance – no matter how slight – that the Monster might be sacrificed and therefore un-returnable to the original owner. So I believe that when trading is set-up, the option between temporary (Set with a timer on how long the trade will last before the Monsters are sent back to the original accounts) and permanent trades should be considered.
As for the removal for of leader boards, I know that certain users (i.e. tenrike) have nearly completed the ‘pedia already. Maybe there could be a counter for how many Monsters you have founded and captured without trading on everyone’s account, but I personally think that having a leader board for collections is completely useless if trading is to be implemented. That’s my two cents on trading.
Suggestion 2: Knowledge of Skills to be learned and Related Topics
Right now, there are only 4 available skills a Monster can know, and it is impossible to ascertain what skills the Monster had previously known. My idea is that there would be a Log Book with memory of every previous skill a Monster has had access to available for unlock after trainer level 12 or whatever level (Should be lower than 15 though). It would be free, but if someone wanted to know what is the next level their Monster would learn a new move – and what – they could pay a small amount, say 2000/ 3000 silver coins per move. Also, if a person wanted to learn a previous move that a Monster had known, they could also pay 2000/ 3000 silver coins in order to learn the move.
Suggestion 3: The algorithms used to calculate accuracy for Monster’s Skills
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find that I get a lot of misses with skills that should have high accuracy. Maybe it’s a glitch, maybe it’s not, I’d just like to be certain that I have a move that I have STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) and 100% accuracy with. Either that or raise PP.
Yeeee….. No more suggestions right now…. I’ll add more later, or post a new thread with updated and edited suggestions… Here’s an imaginary potato if you read this far… *thrusts hands forward* No, but seriously post your thoughts on my suggestions and any idea’s/ rebuttal’s you may have.
