Re: Time Zone?

UTC Time Zone - Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London
I know that because I live in one of the above and it resets at midnight for me. ^^

Re: Time Zone?

I thought it was Greenwich mean time (GMT). I know UTC and GMT is about the same but technically speaking GMT is what you want, that's what haypi uses in all of the letters at least.

Re: Time Zone?

Your correct to say GMT as Greenwich Mean Time. Its a Time zone that is consistent throughout the year unaffected by the change of spring and fall time changes. GMT can be synonym-is with UTC as mentioned however UTC is affected by the change of the season where as stated previously GMT is not.

GMT is the universal standard for time keeping world wide and likely the reason that it was used for the Time Zone for reset.

So that translate into this for example:
Singapore SGT 500 hours
GMT 2100 hours
so there is a 16 hour difference.

On a side note, if anyone is interested in Vintage Watches I sell them on eBay :D. Private Message me if you have an interest in finding a particular piece.

Re: Time Zone?

so basically youre saying GMT is better to go by, but UTC can be used as an effective (if not 100% accurate) option? I usually go by Zulu time since im in a family with a long military history, so GMT is natural to me as theyre the same thing basically. that's why im usually on top of haypi notices, when they say 6:00 GMT I know exactly what time it is :D

Re: Time Zone?

Yeah it can been effectively used with the one exception of the seasons change and the time change associate with it.

Re: Time Zone?

Yes, GMT is the better choice!
Honestly, I forgot about this acronym so I went over to my PC's clock and check what my time zone is. xD

@Muskrat: I was wondering why there is that watch there! :D
