Re: Why is thunder so overpowered?
Maybe his/her monsters weren't S grade, so they got wrecked by a Neon?
Re: Why is thunder so overpowered?

Re: Why is thunder so overpowered?
Because Scythe Massive Boulder one hit KOs them. Boulder is enough for force3 rhor.

Scythe can easily kill neon.. you're wrong if you say that thunder is OP.. The good thing about thunder is they only have 1 weakness which is rock..
Re: Why is thunder so overpowered?
If you look at the general trend in stats for different types of elements, you might notice that electric types have very high speed and ATK/MATK, but low on HP and DEF/MDEF. This makes them very easy to kill within a couple of hits, especially so if they miss a Thunderstorm/STS.
Also, while I've personally used my Neon (with PoD, Adaptability) to wipe out entire teams before, it has a particularly hard time against every single Flight with PoD that I've come across. On my server, Boulder/Massive Boulder is very often used by Flights as well. Even in cases when I'm not bombarded by flying rocks, my Neon finds itself on the losing end against a PoD-boosted Flight, or any battle that drags out over 2 turns.
Therefore I guess there are various ways you can go around beating Neon/Rhor...
- Scythe with Resurrect (I've never beaten one with my Neon in Ladder)
- Changing the weather. Sandstorm is particularly good, whereas any weather other than rain helps to trigger stun when STS is used. Rhor with Force-III is especially easily to beat if it doesn't knock you out first.
- PoD Flight with Massive Boulder (very useful against Draconius/Ignightmare too)
- Invalidate is another PoD Neon/Rhor killer. A turn wasted with zero benefits + Electric type's low DEF/MDEF doesn't help in a longer battle (worse still in Ladder, sometimes my Neon just becomes "stubborn" and casts PoD TWICE
).
Hope it works out for all facing problems with electric types, cheers.
