I would have spelled it Nazi too because this is how it's spelled in French but Zivdor made me doubt about it

It's spelt the same in every language, it's an abbreviation of the full name of the Nation Socialist Party, which was Hitler's party.

If a little kid gets called mean names when he's like 5 it makes him cry and yet he can't spell offensive, let alone say it. Does that mean he doesn't deserve to be allowed to feel bad when other kids pick on him? Besides when pronounced it does sound like there's a T in it to someone who doesn't see it on a regular basis. Just saying

I'm just saying if he's smart enough to associate the swastika with the Nazi party, he should be smart enough to spell Nazi right. It's just like pronouncing pizza, is there a 'T' in pizza? Nope.

English is a tough language dude. I mean according to the English language ghoti should be pronounced like fish. But it isn't....I think. Point is nazi and pizza are two weird ass words, and to someone not paying attention or not familiar with the language then it's an understandable mistake. Funny yea, but understandable.

Re: Barren Land

I know it screwed wi me for the longest time. I talked to my English professor in college when I first saw it and he even said that is absolutely true, it's how it should be pronounced yet it isn't. Gave me a headache

Re: Barren Land

I remember encountering way back in high school and it perplexed me and my teacher for a while. Tried asking again in college and English professor still stumped. Gave up after that xD
