Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I just synthed my Gryphion and it came with Fort-II. My instincts are to hold onto it since if I will probably never get it again. On the other hand, most builds Ive seen on the forum recommend Static-II or Water Therapy-II, I am assuming those recommendations are based around how hard it is to actually get an epic talent on a legendary monster.

So what do you guys think?

Right now Im contemplating:

Fort-II
Thunderstorm or Eletrocute (no experience with Electrocute, is it recommend over Thunderstorm)
PoD
Iajutsu
Maybe Electrical Storm for Taunt+Foresight Pewgs? Or would Mind-Bending/Aurora Borealis (if still avaialbel to electrics) be a better option?

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I may not have a gryph but i do know good builds.
Static 2 is rather good as it not only slows monsters by 75% and paralyses them but it also has a high chance of sending that. This is effective againtst chimeras. This is a great survival against earth.
Water therapy 2 is a realy good healer as every turn it has 1/3 of a soak.
Fort 2 is only good for earths. With water therapy 2, it will gbe quite tank against earth while with pod rain and STS it will OHKO scythe. I have had electrocute on my neon for a long time and in my opinion it isnt that good i recomend TS iaijutsu and no stab is worse than rain stab thunderstom which should be used more.
These are just tips and recomendations.

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I've wasted so many runes trying to get Fort-2. Hold on to that one.

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I'm not a big fan of Fortitude-II myself, as the DEF on Electric elemented monsters is quite low itself.
My future build will be :
Talent : Rain Power-ATK
Skills : PoD - Windblast - Thunderstorm - Lightning Strike
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

Have a question? Feel free to ask me!

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I wasnt a fan of fort on gryph cuz it used to have low def , but now with the stat bet i got my gryph's def to 151 and 293 hp so gryph became tanky , fort will indeed be the best if u increase the def 30 points or more ...
I am trying to get fort but i am not able to , so ya u should keep it ...
My build :
Intemidate (trying for fort)
Elc storm,pod,sts,ts

needs some upgrades i know ...

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

after using it for quet a while i do honestly think beside invalidate that rain atk it by far the most powerfull, my build below is build around 1v1 pvp and ladder, so that its super strong in rain, and can wind blast eventual rock types away, and usually win an intire pvp battle by itself.

depending on server id go with +10 atk for item or speed, depending on what you're bet stats are, you do ofc allways want it to att first at all cost.

for 2v2 pvp you might wanna swap super thunderstorm out for lighting strike/ele storm, but in my experience using winblast on pegway that start rain is just as good.

if you dont wanna risk you're talent fort 2 can be quet good for swap battles in pvp, im not a fan of it tho, as it takes quet a long time to build up an advantage

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

I have a pair of gryph, and breed them to get intimidate, never get one though...
As far as i know, from my experience, fort and static 2 gryph are the best talent, but still fort is better since u don't have to be afraid of rock monster/skill, fort is usefull on both ladder and pvp, static also usefull for both and paralyze enemy almost every time, but will have disadvantage against rock....
My fort gryph without stat bet can stand 2-3 massive boulder, as rock monsters will not going to use pod against it, and massive'll decrease rock def drastically, that's when iaijutsu/frenzied'll finish rock monster...
I use fort gryph to kill schyte, cetanic, and mino (except for sandstorm mino and force 2)...

I gave pod, frenzied+2 (remove STS), TS+5 on one of my fort gryph, and pod and electrocute+5 on another fort gryph...
Still looking for iaijutsu for my other fort...
I also compare TS+5 and electrocute+5 over and over, TS is better, constant damage, sometimes crit, while electrocute rarely crit...

As for RPA, it's only good on pvp, and need water monster to cast rain before, and when 2 gryph encounter in ladder, RPA usually not casting pod even if it's not raining, while other gryph'llcast pod and kill RPA gryph next round...

Re: Questions for Experienced Gryph Users

Thanks Eindolon, you know your Gryphs and for everyone else's advice. I'm going to go for:

Fort-II
PoD
Thunderstorm
Iajutsu
Wind Blast

Just need to wait for Wind Blast and Thinderstorm to go on sale.

What if you need electric attacks and you ran out if TS ?
Good build anyway but since you have fort i dont think you need wind blast
