Oh yea overgrow. The talent that only activates when you're near death so you get maybe one use with it. How could I forget such an amazing talent.

Re: Smiter

It's actually incredibly effective, especially with Underworld Plant and Leech. You heal yourself and destroy the opposing monster. I find it incredibly useful.

Re: Smiter

Smiter
Overgrow III. 100% damage added to plant moves before any other calculations when hp < 30%
Force II. 25-30% batter Atk added to Smiters base
Healer. Heals ~5% HP every turn (not sure here)

Branchy
Tech I. Adds very little damage to hits that do very little damage (I don't care about the % it's useless)
Sun therapy II. Heals 15% HP in the sun

There are the useful talents for both. Don't forget smiter still has solar smite. Now please argue some more so I can laugh at branchy users

Haha yes near death it activates. Lets set the scene shall we.....
Smiter has selected solar smite in the sun. Purrfection then crits smiter, he falls to 20 HP, and solar smite hits. 120 batter x 2(overgrow) = 240 x 1.5(weather) = 360 x 1.5(STAB) = 540 batter power<- that's a lot

The same purrfection then fights a vertedeath. Purr is asleep vertedeath uses dream thief 90 x 2(elemental advantage) = 180 x 1.5 (STAB) = 270 x 2(critical hit) = 540<-? 540 where have we seen that? Oh yea smiter!

Now granted verte has very high matk so his hit could do more damage, both would one shot the poor little cat.

So what you're saying is smiter, with a 120 power attack, can do as much damage EVEN WITH a 100% power bonus as a verte using a what, 60 power move? Never used dream theif so I don't know the power off hand but I know it's not 120. Really makes smiter seem useful.

And since you clearly can't read branchy also has better defense and mdef, so he'd actually do better than smiter against that purrfection. And seriously
lethal powder? How about photosynthesis? I'd rather have that anyday.

Re: Smiter

That Verte Smiter damage comparison totally glossed over the part where the Verte did a critical bit and the Smiter did not.

Dream Thief is a 90 power move to the person who asked. But it has annoying requirements making it kind of a pain to use unfortunately :(

Re: Smiter

Pattafly is much more useful than smiter so unless u really need a grass type now, u should go for patta instead. If you just want a temp monster, branchy is fine but u can't get it here I think....
