Re: Wind Blast

Wind blast is really for pvp, where you can actually select it to use. In ladder the AI basically just wants to fight, not be smart and use it hehe. Wind blast may also help some in levels too. But in pvp if you have a monster with shake or toxic stake used first, then bring out neon, your opponent will have a tought time switching back and forth manually. They will get to select a new monster without that penalty, but it also makes it harder to get a game plan of attack.

Re: Wind Blast

Because Wind Blast doesn't trigger Shake etc and most monsters die in 1-3 hits those 'manually switched monster' skills are a waste of slot.

This game would be better if PvP damage was halved and Wind Blast triggered Todic Stake/Shake. Then switching monsters would become a viable tactic and a whole skill type would actually be useful.

That said, Windblast does let you mess with an opponents flow really well, don't write it off.

Re: Wind Blast

I had wind blast in HM-1 on Chimera, I liked it for pvp. Especially when your opponents first monster was a rock type, I would blast him away before sandstorm could cast, hit the next monster and just mess up the flow like Ryeballs said.

Definitley try it out
