I agree with Vayne. Bad idea >.<
if they just randomly implemented, people would be unhappy No matter what. They're be people who say "Oh newer players have an advantage" I don't have coins" yada yada

Perhaps if this were to be implemented, everyone could get to move each of their cities once for free?

That would work. Give everyone basicly a chance for one free move. But even at that saying that newer players have an advantage, that gets washed out by the fact that the older well established players have better chance of earning themselves the coins they need from hunts and such, and have large armies to back themselves with. They have advantages of their own, and newer players would need every advantage they can get to get to a level to where they could compete.

I have already suggested some changes to move city that may change this.

Anytime you put older players at risk of a disadvantage you'll have an uphill battle. You could maybe argue for this being implemented in the PvP servers. Use that as a test ground. What you're also able to do there is build favorable opinion for a change on the main server because now they are familar and you can use their ego now that they have now "mastered" a way to exploit these new additions regardless of any drawbacks they might encounter at first.

I don't think this is a great idea for Haypi. Much of the appeal of the game is its relative simplicity I think. Also, at least in server 2, there is a very high concentration of cities and occupied forts and oases in the north part of the map. Winding a river in between might be harder than you think, especially since those locations change constantly. Also, how would the cats get across the rivers?? Don't get me wrong, its not a horrible idea, but I think it belongs in Civilisation, not Haypi.

Yes the game has simplicity to it, which makes it real easy to pick up and play. The catch is, after a period of time, it just feels repetative, that their really is not as much to the strategy to certain components to the game. It is basicly a suggestion to add more variaty and options to the game because it has such simple mechanics.

And snaking rivers through the map shouldn't be too hard to do, they don't have to be large like as if they went from one corner of the map to the other. They could be as simple as somthing that is like 15 squares long. It would also add a splash of color to the map itself too.

And yes, i agree, utilizing pvp as a testing ground for concepts like this would be the best way to see what happens because pvp is a fresh start for everyone. And it would be the veterans of the game that would be testing and looking for the exploits in such features. Over the course of several pvp's, refine the rules that would govern add-on's, and then incorporate them into the main game.

Looking for problems in an idea is good, it helps it be improved. But just because there are a few problems with it does not mean it's a bad idea. Every problemhas a solution.

Back to the problem someone reported (i think it was vayne) they could add this in and give everyone 20 coins per city to move them if they wish, then no matter what level you are you can still move. Like the merge did
