Traps and Turrets

yeah number you see when upfrading is traps final damage amount

so traps are basically useless if you have level 9-10 turrets?

Yes, turret's range increase as they level up. Search for the post w/ title "Turret range research" where I made a chart that breaks out turret range for each turret and shooting tech level. Pretty much you need level 7 or 8 turrets before you have any reasonable shot at taking out cats w/ your turrets.
