PvP - to prove who really is the best

After some discussion about the last PvP, I would like to provide some suggestions to make it more competive.

Currently there are two ways to win PvP. 1. Buy a lot of coin. 2. Farm your friends/alts for prestige. Building and battle skills do factor but are a distant third and will never win under the current state of play.

The first way, a revenue source, is needed or Haypi cannot pay the bills or award prizes. The second is viewed my many that don't do it as skillless and an exploit.

Based on the number of people that quit and go inactive it appears many others feel there is no point to continuing to play because of the above situations and the fact that they are in a range that they will get the prize they want.

To solve this and to really prove who is the best/skilled Haypi player. as a suggestion I would like to offer a buy in price (fee) to enter PvP. You get your starting coin and can buy no more.
Reasons for :
1. Allows all players to compete
2. Prevents some use of alts
3. Lets those with true skill make it to the top and claim best player
4. Lets everyone else play for the highest rank to say how good they really are
4. Provides a bigger revenue to Haypi for updates and maybe more prizes. For example, 1500 players at $4.99 is $7500.00

On the downside it may deter players that do not and will not spend any money on Haypi PvP.

It also does not address the friend/alt farming prestige. A further suggestion that could be used under the current format or in conjunction with the above fee idea.

Remove Rank protection in PvP. You lose prestige you lose prestige. This means you cannot sacrifice 2000 cats giving up 20,000 points to your friend to only lose 1,000 and get saved at the 35,000 point due to rank. You lose all 20,000 points and drop all the way down to 16,000 points.
1. Again this makes a more fair and balanced playing field.
2. Helps those with skill truly compete.
3. Prevents the farming exploit as once you sacrifice you are probably out oftop prize contention.
4. Encourages the spending of more money, if the fee system is not in place, as people would spend more if they know they can make top 6 or other prize placement without someone trading off prestige on the last day to leap frog above them.

Remember these are suggestions and I am trying to improve the gaming experience. Please be constructive in your criticism and not just a hater.

All good suggestions but you can't ignore the fact that haypi makes a lot of money in the 15 days that pvp runs...i doubt they're leaning toward that, a set price is fine but even if the server is full, they will still make more money off coins..

I'm not saying this isn't a good idea I'm just throwing this out there :3

I would like the idea of actually fighting after all the name is Player Verses Player and not Coins Verses Coins or Feed Me Verses Feed me More but I digress it is a money maker but it would be fun to even it out and really see who's the best the old fashioned way Duke it Out!!!;)

Use the edit button please.

This idea has already been brought up, hasn't it? I like the idea too, but I'd rather just play in my normal server if I don't like it. PvP is optional.

The coin Suggestion will never fly. Haypi makes too much money in the current system of coins for them to change it.
I do like the idea of removing Level Protections though. This would at least allow the people actually trying to play to pass the people getting farmed. While they might not make it to the top, they'd at least get into better prize situation.

Another idea might be to implement stricker adjustment factors during PVP so that a when a person who is a low lvl feeds a top lvl person, the top level person gets next to nothing...

The idea is good, but I wouldn't play pvp if I had to pay to play.

Re: PvP - to prove who really is the best

One additional option would be to actually put limits on the number of coins that can be bought like they said they would do. The only limit in place is the size of the coin package available for purchase( they got rid of the largest package) I beleive more people would throw 20 bucks at it for coins if they thought they actually had a chance at competing with the top finishers by doing so. Times are hard for everyone and most people dont have 2-300 dollars to throw at a game like this, but i would imagine that most people could come up with 10-20 if they thought it might actually make a difference. Also could possibly put more prize tiers in place to keep people pressing forward instead of getting to 200th place and quitting because they got into the coins and they feel safe.
Haypi has to pay the bills and we all understand that, but if something doesnt change I know I for one will not spend a dime on the next one.
I did purchase coins this round to try and compete but with the feeding back and forth and the feeding of alternate accounts I got the same prize as I got the one before when I did not spend a dime.
I dont want to see this competition die out because of an unequal playing field.

Re: PvP - to prove who really is the best

Great idea on prestige attached to lvl difference KC.

I am puzzled by Haypi making more money under current format suggestions. Logically I don't see how they do. I assume most people don't spent money in PvP as very quickly you spend more trying to win than just buying outright. So taking that approach let's say top 75 spend money to buy coin. We'll say 60 spend $30 = to the prize they may win. Revenue $1800.00. Then the next 15 spend $200.00 average, most way more than  they would spend at a store. Revenue $3000.00. Add together than is $4800.00. Throw in another $1000.00 just to account for the odd extra coin purchase.  And I bet with farming and value on return these figures are much lower but we have a total of $5800.00. Now take a fee approach of &4.99, 1500 players, that is $7500.00. Add another $1000.00 of prizes as incentive and I guarantee you would fill those spots.

If my math or thinking are wrong please explain it?

However, I really think the main thing I was going for was someway to end the prestige farming, to allow skill of play to really prove the top players.

Re: PvP - to prove who really is the best

i agree with changing the pvp rule. so far it has been about feeding to get to the top of the rankings. pvp should just be using pure skills and knowledge in playing this game, not feeding.

i agree with kcmathews on high level players should get less prestige when attacking low level players. and i dont think paying a fee to play pvp would be good
