Named sitters

Maybe something could be done with named "sitters"?

An account can define up to 2 users who can 'sit' that account and maintain it while owner is away. This would mean that owner doesn't have to give out login details, etc., to have someone look after their account while they are on holiday, etc.

When a sitter is named, that sitter has to approve that they want to accept the responsibility for sitting the account.

Each user can only sit up to 2 accounts.

A user cannot sit for any accounts that are registered on the same iDevice (iPhone, iPod, iPad) - ie. they can only sit for accounts registered on a different device.

If the owner of an account does not log in for more than 8 weeks, then the account is considered abandoned and gets locked until they return.

Once sitting feature is implemented, there will be no (legitimate) reason for a user to log in to multiple accounts from the same iDevice. If they do, those accounts are locked pending investigation. All email addresses ever registered with the account would be emailed -- just in case someone has hacked the account, you need to be able to trace back to the first owner.

Now, people could just buy lots of iDevices to get round some of this, but it would make it much more tedious/expensive for them to run multiple accounts on the same server.

Re: Named sitters

I believe I have the general idea, but could you elaborate a bit? I do have a question though, would they have access to the account without management? Also, how will the "sitter" access the other account?
