Lose a branch lose the press

I agree with this completely.
There are very few city takeovers now because taking a city is a pain and you get nothing except a city that may or may not be worthless.
If they incorporated Pres into City Takeover, that would be awesome.
If you lose a city, you lose all the pres gained from building buildings in that city. While Pres is similar to XP, it's not the same. Say for instance a country took over France and Captured the Effil Tower. No one would care who previously owned it, the prestiege it from CURRENTLY owning it.
This is how Subs should work. You get the pres from building it because you are enhancing the sub. You are not getting Experience in building. Similar to troops. You get pres from building troops, but lose it if you lose them in battle.

Good idea, would definately make people pay more attention to their subs...

People would pay even more attention to subs if the subs generated pres throughout the day (the more upgraded the sub the more pres it generates). That way losing a sub means your daily pres decreases.

I really don't think losing all the pres gained from building stuff in that sub should be taken. Instead you should get pres for initial capture (amount based on upgrade level of the sub) and then ongoing pres from owning that sub.

Ie; Why don't you like it? What are the benefits? What are the cons?

I like it except for the amount of inactive high level players. A lvl 4 could. Take a old lvl 14 sub and instantly get tons of prestige. There should be a rule about how much prestige applies to each level. Maybe a percentage of the prestige you have and the percentage can also vary on how well the sub is upgraded.
