Garrisoning Troops

I'm sure this has been posted in suggestions as it is a good idea. Another way to make the game a tad bit more realistic is if the ability to garrison troops in cities of your alliance members.
Here are the benefits:
alliance can actually help defend each other on the spot
it'll add some more fun with war

Some possible opppostions you might have:
Isn't fair if someone can port near the alliance to help defend
-yes, perhaps not, but then why do people pay for coins? For advantages.
If you're trying to take someone down it'll be hard if they're in a higher alliance
-yes, and thats the whole point of being in an alliance. To help each other out. You fight one person, you fight their whole alliance.

Here is also something I left out and up for opinions:
If you garrison your troops, how do you get them back?
I suppose the options would be:
They person to whom you garrisoned your troops must return them.
Or you can click "call back" in actions list (this one makes more sense)

Re: Garrisoning Troops

How will this work if said city already has troops from original owner and also from alliances members? Would the attacker have to take on both? At the same time or 1 after the other? If together who's general skill points will be used?

Re: Garrisoning Troops

yes, the attacker would have to take on both (if an alliance member could dispatch troops to another with enough haste). I didn't think about the stats part, but I assume the one who is being garrisoned

Re: Garrisoning Troops

That would be too crazy imo, imagine if a bunch of alliance members group up in a hub (which they do) and you are attacking with say 10k cats, 5 members averaging 4k cats would pull out double your cats amount and if you cannot group attackers together in one attack it will make war pretty much a stale mate situation :/. Now thats 5 members with 5k cats imagine the bigger alliances with 10k cats average per player :). You could enforce how many garrison slots are allowed I guess. It will be pretty hard to get prestige individually too because everyone will guard their city with friends. Then there's the crop abuse where people could be lending crop spaces for member's troops. It's a good idea but it entails a lot of possible abusings :)

Re: Garrisoning Troops

Yes I know all this, and the opposition to that is the other members who are garrisoning their troops to one of their alliance members will be left defenseless. The whole point of this is that alliance members could support each other. War isn't suppose to be pretty. You shouldn't complain because you're attacking with 10k cats, and then defender is able to call for help and able to stop you...
Also, you said abuse? As in people can surround themselves with friends? Once again, you'd need coins to do this, and the point of having coins is for advantages.

However, I do like that you said there should be a set limit to how many members can garrison in your city. I'd say 2? As for VIP 3?

Re: Garrisoning Troops

I think this idea has a good core, yet needs polishing. Instead of any lvl garrisoning any lvl (the top 2 players garrisoning would be nearly invincible) it would deped on your lvl. The total lvl of those garrisoning should he no more than 20, and you shouldn't be able to garrison with someone 5 lvls higher than you. Also, only one garrison per city, with it being shown on the map. The defender would have to feed the whole army, and there should be a money drain. This would make it easier for small players to defend themselves yet make the top players mortal.

the only problem i see is that the levels garrsioning in your city should be no more than 20. Also I agree with that the one being garrison should have to feed the army. I still think it should be 2 for norms and 3 for VIP though. Or at least VIP should have some advantage with this.
