Chat Crash(Vote 2)

Soccer have you considered the possibility that someone was trying to pm? Because every time someone says, "Hey, I'm going to pm you," and I say "NO PLEASE DON'T IT CRASHES MY CHAT" and they just do it anyways, it makes my chat crash for 12 hours.

I've considered that. But I've been on and gotten a pm and just ignored it and chat worked fine. But I've also tried sending a pm since I wrote my last message and it made my chat crash. It seems sporadic to me. I chatted all day yesterday with no problem and this morning too but chat died for me this afternoon. I can't seem to find any similarities between when the crashes are happening. It's very annoying though!

You will also notice that the main number of crashes is on the 3gs, right now most people playing on a 3gs are updated to the 4.0 firmware from apple this is what is causing most of the problems.
The 3g iphone is not compatible with the multitasking ability and so the 3g still logs out every time you exit the app. I believe the problem is due to the multitasking ability and the easiest way to fix this that i can think of would be to put a log out button somewhere on the city view screen. A way to log out and back in could greatly reduce the hassle of restarting the device and cut down the amount of traffic sent to and from the server due to all the devices not logging out.

I have a 3G iPhone and I have the 4.1 version firmware. The chat crashes on me as well. This has just started though. It was being fine a day or so ago.

I can't can't get on chat. Everytime I try to get on the app crashes.

Ok so every time I go in to privte chat I crash and when I log back in an try to get into world chat or alliance chat I crash again I thought this iusse was fix??

It failed after I tried to send a privte message to my buddy who didn't add me to his buddy list. He then added me and replied and gas yet to have a issue.

I have iPod 3 generation and I have iOS 4.1 and the problem started right after I updated to iOS 4.1

I have isolated the problem on my unit. If someone sends me a PM the game will crash every time in chat. Even if I don't read the PM. There is no way to stop it. BUT if I delete the app and reinstall it works until I go to chat again.

Whenever I try an load the chat, it exits the game completely!!
Also when I'm typing messages to people it will randomly crash and exit the game!!
Also when I am in a battle with someone it just exits the game as well!!

I'm really getting annoyed with this chat!! I can't talk to my alliance at all and I'm the leader and I can't talk in wc and help people!!!

No crashes for me. 3G with IOS 4.1
