instead of deleting inactive players from the map why not just make it so if people hav'nt logged in on haypi for a month
there name turns gray instead of red so you can tell if they are playing anymore and sorry if this has been suggested alot of times or whatever im not on here much

Re: inactive players

It's a good idea but they still take up space.

True, but the color difference would prevent many people from getting farmed. I know tons of people that only try to farm inactive people. :)

Re: inactive players

I think haypi devs should delete inactive players that are under lvl 8.. Their is way to many lvl 0 and lvl 1 main cities, we all know these players do not play the game at all, they take up to much space on the server maps. Or atleast make a "newbie" server, ie.. Kinda like the pvp server, where if your a new player to haypi, u would start out on the "newbie" server and would stay their untill you reach a specific lvl.. Let's just say lvl 8 for the example, and once you reach this lvl, you would than be consider a active player and be put into one of the real servers! This would eliminate all of the low lvl inactive players that take up space, and than if they do take a break or quit haypi, the active players could atleast "farm" those players for resources.. And if they were to clear out the low lvl inactives that would free up enough spaces on the servers that the devs could possibly do server merges! if anybody else thinks this is a good or bad idea let me know, I would love feedback on my idea!

I think this idea is really good but, if they made it so you had to reach level 8 to get on a real server many people would quit from only being able to upgrade and train soldiers for prestige for so long.

Re: inactive players

Koala, I can see you point on that.. To make it alittle easier for the newbies devs could up the prestige reward For the tasks you do as a new player. And let's not forget they can always attack other players for prestige as well. Or even as a possibilty, for only on the "newbie" server they can reward players with prestige for attacking and occuping forts and oasis's! This combined with tasks will help new players learn how to survive on real servers and would hopefully help against players who go inactive becuz they didn't like the game. And if they do not like the game they would go inactive on the "newbie" server and than devs could delete accounts that haven't been active in months :)

Re: inactive players

Well a person has to submit a email address when they register their account. After two months of inactivity send a email telling them they have 1 month to log in or be deleted. It'll get rid of all inactives and free up the actual space needed for server mergers. The main reason that people are quitting is there is not enough people to attack to gain prestige on the older servers. You can tell when a server is starting to die just by watching world chat. Depending on referals to replace inactive players in these older servers is just not the answer any more. For every single referal there is fifteen other players have quit. I would be amazed if people will still be playing in servers 1 - 3 six months from now at the rate this is going!

This.

And once the account is deleted, the cities could either be destroyed, or, which is probably more interesting, become NPC cities. A set complement of troops according to level, like forts and oases, and then people could farm them or take them as a sub city if they wanted.
