Quote Editing?

Should editing a quote be illegal? Since the point is to say exactly what a player said.

example:

I am really not smart (i didn't say this you quoted me as saying this)

If people do this, then the person veiwing the topic can just scroll up and see what the person acctually said.

Abuse the quote function and I can just as easily have it removed. Yes, I can still make that happen.

There's a lot of things I added like the rainbow text, columns and I think the YouTube BBCode is still there. It applies to anything, you abuse it and you lose it.
