Tutorial
Yes, Ive posted this before and im posting this again. Why? I hate playing on new servers! People spam udid faker and make lots of accounts to use coins and transfer gems to there main and sell it to another account for max price using the 30 coins (60000 money) and new server gems are max 60k. It isnt fun when people have 10 mil and max techs by lvl 4 and prices are consistently above .50. Putting in the "tutorial server" not only educate New people for the game, It gives them a sense on how to play and the inactive rate will go down and those who dont want to play technically wouldnt be in the server yet because there in the tutorial stage. So here is my original post:
Instead of putting all these ha_###### and making a new server a day, how about there be a tutorial server where it tells you about the game, and theres steps to go through the tutorial. Like when you first make an account you would be in your own 7x7 square of oasis around you etc and it would tell you what each building is, and kinda like a walkthrough in the beginning. I guess i would set it up like this:
1) Yhey sign up, and when they go to play a pop up would come up saying welcome to haypi blah blah and tell them to go through the tasks in the task bar. Show what each button is on the bottem
2)Tutorial task 1. Upgrade resources. So you would upgrade any of the resource buildings. Then another pop up explaining the importance of resources and upgrading the resource buildings to increase production. At the same time all this is going they would be completing some of there tasks and gaining prestige. Then show them how to collect resources from tasks
3)Tutorial task 2. Upgrade main building. Explain the importance of what main building does and how the people get replenished over time
4)Tutorial task 3. upgrade warehouse. They would upgrade there warehouse and would be explained how the warehouse lets you hold more resources with every upgrade
5)Tutorial task 4. Upgrade Cranny. They would upgrade there cranny and explain that the cranny holds your resources that wont be taken when your attacked.
6)Tutorial task 5.Train infantry. They would train infantry and be told about what infantry does and what happens when upgrading barracks.
7)Tutorial task 6. Sell resources. They would sell some resources they have left over and would learn what happens when resources are sold
8)Tutorial task 7. Buy resources. They would go and buy some resources. obviously nobody would be selling resources so there would be an NPC offer in there. Probably 1000 lumber for .50 or something like that.
9)Tutorial task 8. Upgrade tech. They would upgrade one of there techs of there choosing. They would be explained what each tech does.
10)Tutorial task 9. Go in General and explain prestige and skill points and attribute points. Also explain treasure and what each do and how to obtain them.
11) Tutorial task 10. Occupy an oasis. They would then go into the map and there would be a lvl 1 oasis highlighted and an arrow pointing towards it and you would press it and it would show the normal commands. They would then press occupy and when they send there troops there and when it hit 0:00:00 it would show them how to command there troops. After they occupy it they would be showed how to bring the troops back.
12) Tutorial task 11. Hunt. They would be shown how to hunt and what happens when you hunt.
13) "Welcome to Haypi Kingdom!!!" This is when they finally get placed in the server with others. They would make there account name and password, explain about beginners protection and they can now interract with other people and join an alliance and go further in the game.
There could be a couple tweaks in this, but i took a lot of time and thought into this. I feel this is a better way than just throwing people in servers and they dont know what there doing. This would really get rid of 99% of inactives. This wouldnt need the ha_####### accounts and people know somewhat what there doing and if they feel the need they can ask questions in chat and in an alliance they join. This may also reduce inactive players cause people who play may stop because they dont know what there doing. Thank you for taking this in consideration
