Market Prices For Resources

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this but I think there should be a predefined system setting that puts a "floor" on resource prices in the Marketplace. If things keep going the way that they have been, all four resource types will eventually be down to $0.01 across the board. In my mind, it diminishes from the game because the only other ways to make money are to either hunt, get money as a daily gift, or buy coins and trade them in for cash. When you start to get up in level, the Tech upgrade prices get spendy and so the quickest method for saving up is to sell your resources. In my opinion, it also diminishes the need to develop your resource output beyond about level 10 because you can go to the Marketplace and buy 100,000 stone units for $1000. The only resource that might be slightly different from the others is Crops because you obviously need to keep those on hand to prevent your troops from being killed off.

Anyway, my suggestion would be to make the lowest price for which you could sell one of the four resource types to about $0.03 or $0.04 per unit.

Thanks - Harm523

Re: Market Prices For Resources

The prices are based off of supply and demand, and if that correlates to make prices 0.01 all the time, then that is how much coins are worth. With an economy like this, bringing it up to 0.03 or 0.04 minimum could possibly be ruinous.

they give base prices and max prices to prevent price gauging, but mostly to give a referance for the supply and demand. its just a wall to compare it all to.

Re: Market Prices For Resources

I believe any resource can hit the .01 price, that simply means there is way too much of that resource or not many players are fighting. This has been discussed quite a bit, however the only way to raise prices it to encourage war and decrease available resources.

Haypi's merges seem to have decreased the number of oasis' available, so now they just need to find a way to get players to fight.
