Help stop server deaths

i have an idea i'd like to float. it's upping the level at which you get the new account task. I believe this would encourage more play on the existing servers and as players spend longer on the server they are more likely to grow attached. Older servers are littered with Lvl 10 inactives and allthough good farms take up room that active players could take as nothing quite murders a server like this task in my opinion.
Re: Help stop server deaths
lvl 10 seems an adequate lvl to me... not too high that its unobtainable, not too low that its a simple target
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

lol nathan i don't think you have ever agreed with one of my posts. I have reached lvl 10 on servers without even playing for more than 10 mins a day. i'm inactive on these servers and have never developed friendships etc as i don't chat or contact ppl when i'm only on 10 mins at a time if it was lvl 16 i'd have to put in the work and this would encourage more server loyalty.
Re: Help stop server deaths
most people stick around till lvl 12 then quit because they are wiped by a bigger player, at least at lvl 10 it gives people a chance to move on and not entirely quit the game, they are combatting server deaths with the mergers...if you want a way that you can help stop people from quitting then offer to take fresh oases for the person you wipe to help them too rebuild
also i disagree with your last post saying i never agree with anything you post lol

Re: Help stop server deaths
i think this idea has merit. think if you are a lvl 12 and you are wiped then you have to work harder to get to lvl 15 or 16 this will encourage more battles between these lvl players as you can't really get to lvl 16 by upgrades only, unless you play like it's farmville and that's awful gameplay.
Re: Help stop server deaths
Split the difference and say lvl 13 and I'll completely support this

Re: Help stop server deaths
I think servers die simply because people stop playing HK, not because of the new task is too hard to attain. It's hard work to keep people interested in a game, hence games have updates that change dynamics. These updates include game content, new strategies, a new storyline, a new goal, more social aspects, etc. I doubt anyone can name a single recently successful game that does not have updates.
Haypi seems to avoid making these tough decisions, which causes server deaths.
